In 2000, Bostik Ltd. was about to merge with another company but IT problems ensued. Bostik was running Intentia International’s Movex enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution on an IBM iSeries platform and used Cognos for business intelligence (BI) reporting. The other company was using a different ERP system and so, when the merged company made the strategic decision to consolidate on Movex, they needed a fast and reliable way to move the data into the ERP system.

By using Simpson Associates and DataMirror Transformation Server, Bostik now has a separate data warehouse populated with real-time data.

Bostik has subsequently achieved numerous business benefits, including an improvement in the on-time delivery of orders by more than 10%, an 80% drop in late orders and an improvement in customer service and cash flow.
